Why I Believe There Are Better Masticating Juicers To Spend Your Money On Than The Champion G5-PG710, Despite Its Good Reviews

There are a lot of masticating juicers on the market but only a handful can be considered as most recommended. Champion juicers fit the bill and have continually maintained their reputation for quality throughout the years.

Black Champion G5-PG710It seems that every time a new juicer is introduced to the marketplace from this company it receives the highest marks from satisfied consumers. The Champion G5-PG710 has kept their reputation in place as a solid dependable juicer that makes great juice time after time.

With that said, for the price I think there are better options with more power, that can juice leafy greens without extra attachments, and that take up much less space on your countertop. One example is this masticating upright Breville juicer.

Key Features – Not All Positive

  • Juices vegetables and fruits (Special Attachment Needed To Process Wheatgrass)
  • Takes Up A Lot Of Countertop Space
  • Built In Homogenizer (Safely make baby food, ice cream, muesli, and much more)
  • Large feeding chute (A 1.75″ chute saves you a lot of prep time)
  • Stainless steel cutting blades
  • 1/3 horsepower motor (A bit low compared to other models)
  • 3-year motor warranty (Not much considering this Omega juicer has a 15 year warranty)
  • 10 year parts warranty with a year on cutting blades (This takes the sting out of the short motor warranty a bit)

When you use this masticating juicer you’ll notice that the juice has a richer and darker color than juices that have been prepared with a centrifugal type of appliance. When you are using this particular juicer you’ll notice that the extracted pulp is very light in color while the juice has a bold and fresh color that is practically begging you to drink it. Once you do take a taste you’ll experience a complete full-bodied vegetable or fruit flavor that can only be experienced fresh from the juicer.

You Could Operate This Juicer Blind Folded And Clean Up Is Child’s Play

This Champion juicer has been designed for the end-user making it simple and easy to use. It has a floating cutter that you can slide off of the shaft, which makes cleanup a breeze. It also has a 1.75″ feeding chute so that you can add larger vegetables without having to spend a lot of time preparing smaller pieces.

Stainless Steel Cutting Blades

You won’t have to worry about these blades becoming dull, tarnished, twisted or separating. They are strong stainless steel blades that keep their shape even when juicing the hardest vegetables.

This masticating juicer dices and squeezes your vegetables and fruits into powerful nutritious drinks that still have the enzymes and fiber you need to keep you healthy. The mastication process allows food to break down into juice without a heat build-up that can damage the trace minerals, vitamins and enzymes inside the produce.

What Does This Omega Juice?

This juicer can turn the following types of fruits and vegetables into a delicious drink that will give you the nutrition you need to live a healthy lifestyle. Here are just a few of the many fruits and vegetables you can use with this unit:

  • Cabbage
  • Melon
  • Kiwi
  • Peppers
  • Tomatoes
  • Apples
  • Celery
  • Pineapple

The Homogenizer Is A Big Benefit

This Champion masticating appliance can quickly switch from a juicer to a homogenizer by switching one single part. With the homogenizing process you’ll be able to create your own ice cream, baby foods, fruit sauces, sorbets, purées, muesli and much more.

Leafy Green Vegetable Attachment Sold Separately

If you’re interested in purchasing this juicer for a lot of leafy greens you’ll want to invest in the leafy green attachment that is sold separately.

As well, if you want to use this appliance for grinding, there is a grain mill attachment that can also be purchased. With this attachment you’ll be able to grind all types of dried grains and foods to make your own cornmeal, flour, coffee etc.

Made in the USA

If shopping close to home is important to you, it’s good to know that this Champion juicer is made here in the US. While you’re enjoying your nutritious drinks you’ll also be contributing to the health of the American economy.

This Omega juicer may be a household model but it’s almost as strong as a commercial masticating juicer. A commercially designed juicer will have 650 W while this one has 540 W. This makes the Champion juicer an extremely powerful unit that delivers drinks that taste like they have been prepared fresh on the farm.

There are a lot of dedicated juicing enthusiasts leaving excellent masticating juicer reviews that have embraced the Champion line of juicers and would never use another brand based on the quality of juicing delivered and the exquisite taste of the juice.

I am on my third Champion Juicer. The previous two gave good service, BUT this current one gives constant trouble.
I’ve already spent more than the original purchase price with appliance repair shops, and each time it works well for a while until the front seal fails yet again and the motor short-circuits and throws the main board power switch (which means having to constantly re-set clocks, the computer etc.), and this after it delivers less than 200 ml of juice each time. I’m sick of it!!! Please tell me why I shouldn’t bin it and buy something else.

While I can’t be sure of the model, the Champion juicer I bought in 1995 is still working perfectly. The only thing I have had to replace is the blade. So I would say it was an excellent value for the money.
